‘Work / Shared Space’ vs ‘Personal Space’
Guidance from the current Satisplan knowledge base about ‘work / shared space’ vs ‘personal space’.
Satisplan supports your work life balance by letting you manage your work Goals and Tasks, as well as your personal Goals and Tasks (if you so wish).
Work / Shared Space (has your Company name)
This Space is shared with your colleagues. The Goals and Tasks you create in this Space can be assigned to and shared with others. Others can sometimes view them (if they have the right permissions, whether granted by you or by colleagues).
Personal Space (has your name)
This Space is only visible to you. This means that also the Goals and Tasks you create in this Space are only visible to you. You do not have to use this Space, but you can do so if you wish.
For example, you might want to use Satisplan to hit a personal fitness or home renovation Goal, or to plan personal commitments like grocery runs and childcare, so that you can see at a glance where in your Calendar you have time to also do your work Tasks.
We believe in holistic time management, so if you have a doctor’s appointment or need to pick up your kids from school at a certain time, you should be able to view this seamlessly alongside your work commitments. At the same time, you should be able to keep the details of this private from your colleagues.
“Using” your Personal Space means creating Goals under it in the Goal Panel of the Overview Screen, or selecting this Space when creating a Task, as described in Task attributes & editing permissions.
